VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 – How to Deploy VCF 9 Steps by Step

The wait is over — VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.0 is now GA! With this milestone release, Broadcom delivers a streamlined, secure, and high-performance foundation to build next-gen Private Cloud platforms. VCF 9.0 isn't just an update; it's a powerful shift towards modern, efficient, and application-centric infrastructure design. Lets dive in for the step how we can deploy VCF 9.0

1. VMware Cloud Foundation Installer

   
   

   

   
   

2. Login with Admin@local

3. Deployment wizard

   

   4. Here you have Deployment wizard , where you can install new VCF or brown field conversation i.e. vsphere foundation . Or upload a Jon spec . Here I am clicking on VMware cloud foundation
   

   

   5. Once you click on Deploy a new VCF Fleet , it will open the Installer UI ,where it first ask existing components if we have any like VCF operations(vrops) or vCenter , If u don’t want , u can click Next .

   
   

   

   6. Here on the General Information , we select the VCF version , give the name for VCF instance and management domain , followed by Deployment model and DNS/NTP

   
   

   

   7. Since we are doing Green Field , here we have to Mandatory enter detail for VCF operation and We can skip VCF Automation installation for later.

   
   

   

Click on the Check box to skip the VCF Automation

8. Next Component is the vCenter ,fill the details and click Next

   
   

   

   
   

9. Next Component is NSX , fill the Details and Click next

   
   

   

   
   

10. Primary storage is vSAN as ESA (based on the hardware you have )

    
    

    

11. Now add the ESXI Details and Password for Root.

    
    

    

    
    

12. Network details for VM network , vMotion and vSAN details need to be filled

    
    

    

    
    

13. Select the Distributed Switch Network Profile , Customer or Default , in this case we are selecting Default

    

    
    

    

    
    

14. Final filling the SDDC Manager details

    
    

    

    
    

15. Review all the information and download the json spec

    
    

    

    
    

16. Final Step were it validate and we click the magic button DEPLOY

    

    
    

17. The deployment is in Progress , you can monitor it the progress
    

    

    once the deployment is complete we see the below message .
